Some of the wedding guests had long suspected that the bride and groom had, ah, well, an unusual relationship. For his part, he seemed to be quite the doting boyfriend. As for her, there had been whispers that the bride had not always been faithful in the weeks leading up to the wedding. The hush that fell over the crowd of onlookers, punctuated with a universal gasp that nearly sucked all of the air out of the ballroom, when the Best Man stooped to remove her garter while the groom stood quietly by, spoke louder than any announcement the newlyweds could have made.
Theirs was going to be a wife-led marriage.
